Summer in Florida means one thing after another — pool days, dinners out, and way too many plans packed into too few weeks. Here’s my roundup of the five things that made this summer one for the books so far (plus two honorable mentions I couldn’t leave out).
1. Topgolf with My Family + My Brother’s Friends
Nothing beats a Topgolf night with a full crew — my family, my brother, and his whole friend group crammed into one bay, half of us actually trying to hit the ball and the other half just there for the snacks and the views. It’s become one of those go-to hangouts that somehow works for every age and every skill level.
2. Dinner on Park Ave
Park Avenue always delivers! Whether you’re heading out for a girls’ night or enjoying a family dinner, those charming string lights and comfy outdoor seating make even a random Tuesday feel like a special event. The sound of laughter and clinking glasses fills the air, creating a fun yet cozy vibe. With menus that have something for everyone—from tasty appetizers to amazing desserts—hanging out at Park Avenue turns into my favorite pastime where awesome memories are made under the stars.
3. Escape Room — Art Heist
We tried The Escape Game Orlando‘s Art Heist escape room this summer, and it did not disappoint. Between the puzzles, the time pressure, and everyone yelling different theories at once, it was chaos in the best way. Highly recommend it if you need a group activity that isn’t just dinner or a movie.
4. Shopping at The Mall at Millenia
A summer shopping trip to the Mall of Millenia is basically a tradition at this point. I actually did a full post on this one, so if you want the whole rundown — Click here.
5. Pool Nights
Simple, but unbeatable. Seriously, pool nights are the thing I keep coming back to all summer long — with floats out, music blasting, lying by the fire, and just chilling until it’s way too dark to see anything. You know those moments where everything feels perfect? That’s what it’s all about!
Honorable Mentions
Universal Trip — A trip to Universal snuck its way onto this list because, honestly, how could it not? Between the rides, the food, and the sheer amount of walking, it’s the kind of day that wears you out and makes you want to go right back. It always makes me thankful that I bought season passes lol!
