Hero Night at the Kia Center — July 5th
FOOTBALL SIS ★ FLORIDA LIFE
Okay so this was such a fun night. My brother and I got invited to our very first Orlando Pirates game, and we basically had no idea what to expect — the last (and only) arena football game we’d ever been to was the Jax Sharks back in 2017, so it had been a minute. Spoiler: I’m obsessed now.
Huge thank you to CatalinaMayaPR for having us as creators and hooking us up with passes to the Creator Suites. We were right behind the end zone, which meant we were basically on top of every play. If you’ve never sat that close to the field at an indoor game… it hits different.
The Setup
Field Suites & Fan Cam Energy
First thing I noticed walking in: the energy was HIGH. And honestly, it stayed that way no matter how the game was going. Everyone around us was just there to have a good time. The fan cams were so funny, the music was actually really good, and the whole arena had this fun, buzzy, everyone’s-in-it-together vibe, well, except for the people who take it a little too serious lol.
The Game
A True Nail-Biter
Y’all. This game came down to the final 40 seconds. It was tied, everyone was on their feet, and then… we fumbled. The Green Bay Blizzard scooped it up and ended up taking the win by kicking it through the goalpost for 2 points right at the buzzer. Heartbreaker for the home team — but even losing, we had the absolute best time.

Hero Night
Halftime Stole the Show
Because it was 4th of July weekend, the whole night was themed as Hero Night — and halftime was honestly one of my favorite parts. The Pirates dancers performed, and then our Orlando firefighters played flag football right there on the field — such a sweet, feel-good way to celebrate the people who show up for our city.

Game Day Fits
For game day I went head-to-toe Alo — comfy enough to be on my feet cheering all night, but still cute enough for the content. That’s always the sweet spot for me.
My brother kept it easy in Alo pants, an Abercrombie top, and Birkenstock slides (he cleans up nice, I’ll give him that).

As a girl who’s always at a football field for one reason or another, getting to be a fan for a night was the best. New Orlando favorite unlocked. We’ll definitely be back — and next time I want that Pirates W. 🏴☠️
