~ The Trip ~
Asheville First, Then Camp Time

We spent the weekend in Asheville visiting my aunt before making the drive to Winston-Salem Monday morning — and honestly, that little reset was exactly what we needed heading into camp day. By the time we pulled onto Wake Forest’s campus, the energy was electric.
This isn’t our first time here, but it never gets old. Wake Forest is beautiful in a way that feels right the moment you arrive. While Cruz got checked in, I took my time walking the campus again — taking in Reynolda Hall, the quad, the chapel, the whole vibe. Every single visit reaffirms why this school has been on our radar since day one.
~ The Camp ~
Best on Best. For the Second Year in a Row.
Let me be clear — Best on Best is not something you get handed. You earn it. And Cruz earned it again.
For the second consecutive year at a Wake Forest camp, he was selected for Best on Best competition inside the McCreary Football Complex. That’s not luck or proximity — that’s a quarterback who belongs in the room and makes coaches take notice. He made some absolutely beautiful throws throughout the day, the kind that make you hold your breath for a split second and then completely lose it when they connect.
“Best on Best, two years in a row. The throws were there. The composure was there. He showed them exactly who he is.” I’m not the kind of sister who hands out compliments just for the sake of it. Of course I support him, but I also make sure he knows that real achievements have to be earned. So when I hype him up or tell him I’m proud of him, it’s because he genuinely worked for it and deserves every bit of that recognition.
~ The Conversation ~
Coach Enos & What It Means
One of the highlights of the day — beyond the field — was getting to spend time talking with Coach Enos again. I won’t give everything away, but I will say this: we will absolutely be back at Wake Forest this fall for a game. The relationship with this program continues to grow in the best way. Cruz received his offer from Wake Forest last year, and we are still just as obsessed with this school as the day that offer came in. The coaching staff, the culture, the campus — everything checks out every single time. Some places just feel right, and Wake Forest is one of those places for our family.
~ The Look ~
Sporty Chic for Camp Day
You know I always have to break down the outfit. Camp days call for something intentional but comfortable enough to be on your feet in the summer heat — this look hit both. All navy, head to toe, with a little oversized sunglass moment because obviously.

Cruz Is Fired Up
After a day like Monday, the energy is high, and the momentum is real. Wake Forest is sitting at the top of his list — and days like this one are a big reason why. The program has shown consistent love, Cruz has shown up every single time he’s stepped on that field, and the relationship keeps building. Camp season is moving fast, and we are locked in.
