Dancing with the Stars Week 2 Recap: One-Hit Wonders and Surprising Eliminations

Theme: One-Hit Wonder Night + Double Elimination

Week 2 of Dancing with the Stars was full of surprises, big improvements, and of course… a dramatic double elimination. With “One-Hit Wonder” as the theme, the music was iconic, the outfits ranged from gorgeous to questionable, and the dances definitely gave us a lot to talk about. Let’s break it all down couple by couple!

Alix Earl & Val Score: 21/30

This was such a strong performance! Alix looked so comfortable out there, and the choreography fit perfectly with the song. Very few mistakes, and that green and yellow outfit? Perfection. Loved it!

Daniella & PashaScore: 19/30

For being injured, Daniella absolutely delivered. You could barely tell she was pushing through it! A little stiff at times and a small mishap at the end, but overall solid. Plus, those pink outfits were everything.

Andy Richter & Emma Score: 16/30

My opinion hasn’t really changed from Week 1… Andy is funny, but dancing just isn’t his thing. The choreography and song highlighted his weaknesses instead of covering them, which made this tough to watch.

Lauren Jauregui & Brandon – Score: 21/30

LOVED this! Lauren carried herself so well, and the choreography was magical. It honestly gave me Cinderella vibes, from the style to the grace. Easily one of my faves of the night.

Jordan Chiles & EzraScore: 22/30

Talk about improvement! This was such a glow-up from last week. Jordan was amazing, and Ezra’s choreography (only his second year!) is already so strong. The outfits were a little plain, but I did love her pants.

Cory Feldman & Jenna Score: 15/30

Disappointing. I thought Cory would improve from last week, but this was rough. The choreography from Jenna was the saving grace—she crushed it—but Cory just wasn’t on the same level. The outfits were cute, though.

Jen Affleck & JanScore: 22/30

Honestly… not a fan. The production, the choreography, the song, the outfit—it all just missed for me. Once again, it felt like Jan was doing most of the heavy lifting. Jen’s dancing was okay, but nothing special.

Robert Irwin & WhitneyScore: 22/30

A good tango is always a win for me, and this was exactly that. Whitney choreographed such a strong routine, and Robert looked just as sharp as last week. I’ll be shocked if these two don’t go far!

Elaine Hendrix & Alan – Score: 21/30

Cute, but nothing groundbreaking. It was a little boring compared to some of the other routines. Not a big fan of the outfits, but they did match the vibe of the song.

Baron Davis & BrittScore: 18/30

This one fell flat. They looked awkward together, and the choreography didn’t help. He’s improved since last week, but still not enough to really stand out. The outfits? Forgettable.

Whitney Leavitt & MarkScore: 22/30

FAVORITE of the night!! The choreography, the chemistry, the performance—it all clicked. And her outfit? Absolutely stunning. This was the dance of the night for me!

Hilaria Baldwin & GlenScore: 21/30

I love a tango, but this just didn’t work. It felt unbalanced, with Glen doing more of the work while Hilaria still struggled. That said, their outfits were gorgeous.

Dylan Efron & DaniScore: 20/30

Not the strongest technical dancer, but Dani’s choreography covered that so well. Dylan looked amazing, brought great energy, and the whole number was fun to watch. Loved their outfits too.

Scott Hoying & RyleeScore: 18/30

This was… okay. Not bad, but not good either. Just sort of average. The choreography didn’t do Scott any favors, and he looked awkward at times. Loved his outfit, hated the song choice.
