Stylish Outfits for Sideline Reporting – Help Me Choose!

Okay, I have to share some exciting news before we get into this. I’ll be sideline reporting for a sports network company this season! I’m so excited (and a little nervous, ha) to step into this role. It’s honestly why my outfit choices this season are going a little more “polished and put-together” and a little less “casual game day tee.” I still want everything to feel like me — just a more elevated version of me.

Which brings me to why I need YOUR help today.

I’m working on getting some Sidelines Society prototypes ready. They won’t be done in time for the first few games of the season. In the meantime, I pulled together six outfit options for the first game days. I’d love your help picking. I’ve narrowed it down, and I need YOU to vote on your top 3 favorites.

Here’s how it works: the 3 outfits with the most votes are the ones I’m ordering tomorrow evening — so make sure to get your vote in before then!

Option 1

This one is all moody. The Pacsun — Edikted Lace Up Sheer Mesh Top has the corset lacing and bell sleeves that make it feel so much more special than a basic top, layered over the Alo Airlift Line Up Bra in that deep burgundy. Paired with the Aritzia Babaton Penn Pant — a clean, trouser-style black pant — and finished off with my Steve Madden Mavis Black Suede wedge sneakers. Edgy but still polished.

Option 2

Bold and a little bit rocker-chic. The Princess Polly Justina Bandage Top in Red is fitted and structured with that classic bandage-style ribbing, paired with the Tiger Mist Black Pants for a flared, high-waisted silhouette. I finished it with the Easter by Back 70 Velvet Red Milk sneakers — the red suede mule-style sneaker ties the whole look together and keeps it from feeling too matchy.

Option 3

My most laid-back option of the bunch. The Princess Polly Kierstyn Corset Top in Currant is a structured bustier top in the prettiest deep wine tone, paired with the Denim Forum ’90s Ultra Lo-Rise Baggy Jean for an easy, relaxed fit. Steve Madden Mavis Black Suede wedge sneakers round it out — this one feels the most “me” day-to-day, just elevated for game day.

Option 4

Fun and a little flirty. The Superdown Evie Romper in Black is fitted through the bodice with a studded belt detail and a mock neck, so it already feels complete on its own — then I’m layering the 7 For All Mankind Shrunken Jacket in Red overtop for a pop of color and some structure. Steve Madden Mavis Black Suede sneakers keep it grounded and game-day appropriate.

Option 5

Probably my most “reporter-ready” option, which feels fitting given my news! The Pacsun Edikted Pinstripe Tailored Button Up Shirt has a fitted, tailored fit with subtle pinstripe detailing and dramatic bell cuffs, paired with the Tiger Mist Black Pants for a sleek, put-together silhouette. I’m adding a pop of color with the Steve Madden Mavis Red Suede sneakers so it doesn’t feel too serious.

Option 6

The most layered, statement-making option. The Aritzia Altar Bustier in Black is fitted and structured on its own, and I’m topping it with the Princess Polly Vista Bomber Jacket in Red for texture and a cropped, oversized silhouette. The Pacsun Edikted Lexy Faux Leather Flared Capri Pants in Black bring in a little edge, and I’m finishing it off with the Steve Madden Mavis Suede High Top Wedge Sneakers in Red to tie the red accents together.
