Hey guys! So sorry for the wait, but I’m finally here to share the update on how Maryland football went. This was actually a camp my brother’s head coach strongly recommended, as they were really interested in him and his potential. Maryland football is competitive, so after a grueling 10-hour drive we finally arrived at the camp location.
University of Maryland
We arrived in Maryland Wednesday afternoon at our great hotel, which I will discuss later, but first, let’s talk about the campus. We spent the day walking around, exploring, and while it wasn’t my favorite place, it was still nice. The campus combined old buildings with modern facilities, giving it a unique charm. The flower-lined trails encouraged us to explore, leading to hidden gardens and quiet spots for relaxing in the sun. Maryland football culture even influences the campus vibe.
The Hotel
We stayed at “The Hotel at University of Maryland” and it was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was amazing with its spacious layout and modern amenities, and the presence of 4 restaurants provided a variety of culinary experiences. We particularly enjoyed dining at Grillmarx, where they served one of the best steaks I have ever tasted, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The service was attentive and the atmosphere inviting, making each meal a delightful event during our stay.
Football Camp
My brother had a fantastic time at the Terps camp, where he enjoyed the activities and had the chance to show off his skills. He was selected for a VIP session with only two other quarterbacks, making it a special experience. During this time, they received coaching from top trainers to improve their techniques and gameplay. For anyone interested, Maryland football camps provide an excellent opportunity to learn from great athletes in a competitive setting. This made the camp memorable for him. Unfortunately, this is the second to last blog from this series, as we are done with football camps for the season; however, I am excited to share that the update on Georgia Southern will be out later this week.
